Young Sheldon cast is loved by everyone. We all are a little curious to know more about them. The show is about Sheldon Cooper’s early life, a boy who grows up in the town of Medford, Texas. It comes up to be a hard task for his family to cope with his intellectual capabilities.

1. Iain Armitage as Sheldon Cooper
The lead character of this sitcom is Sheldon who is extremely well-versed in the field of mathematics and science. He decides to pursue physics around the same time as the show begins. Despite being intelligent Sheldon lacks the knowledge and understanding about social cues and behaviors. He often reflects a sense of superiority over everyone, including his family whereas he has also proven to love his family.
Sheldon begins attending High school at the age of 9 and college at age 11. He earns his undergraduate degree at the age of 14 and moves to California in the final episode. Iain has also appeared in Big Little Lies. He has been nominated for numerous accolades for his appearances in Young Sheldon and Big Little Lies.
2. Jim Parsons as Adult Sheldon
Jim Joseph Parsons is the man behind the voice of adult Sheldon Cooper. He depicts the point of view of an adult recalling his childhood. In real life, Jim has received numerous accolades including four Primetime Emmy Awards and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. He has also received the title of the highest-paid television actor by Forbes.
3. Lance Barber as George Cooper
Lance Barber is an American actor best known for playing the character of George Cooper, Sr. on the show Young Sheldon and The Big Band Theory. Barber lives in Los Angeles with his wife Aliza, who’s a chef, and their adorable kids. He has also appeared in The Big Bang Theory and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
4. Zoe Perry as Mary Cooper
Zoe Perry is a wonderful actress who appeared as the young Mary Cooper in the beloved series Young Sheldon in recurring roles in The Family and Scandal. After graduation, Perry moved to New York to search for television work and then eventually did well, becoming the character of Mary Cooper. While doing the show the actress said, “Playing a Version of Her Mom Wasn’t Easy.”
5. Annie Potts as Meemaw
Anne Hampton Potts is an American actress who was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and won a Genie Award. Potts is known for her appearances in Corvette Summer (1978) and Heartaches (1981). The breathtaking actress has also been nominated for the 1994 Primetime Emmy Award.
6. Montana Jordan as Georgie Cooper
Montana Jordan is an American actor who is best known for his role as Georgie Cooper in The Big Bang Theory franchise, appearing in Young Sheldon (2017-2024). Since 2021, Jordan has been in a relationship with Jenna Weeks (a social media personality). On May 21, 2024, they announced the birth of their baby daughter.
7. Raegan Revord as Missy Cooper
Raegan Revord is best known for her role as Missy Cooper in the Young Sheldon. Off-screen, Raegan is a writer and is authoring a debut YA novel titled ‘Rules for Fake Friends,’ set to be published in the Fall of 2025 by Wednesday Books.
After the end of her contract on Young Sheldon, she said, “I will say more later, but right now I am feeling so so heartbroken, but also so grateful. Playing Missy Cooper for the past 7 years and getting so be a part of this beloved franchise has been life-changing.”
8. Matt Hobby as Pastor Jeff Difford
Matt Hobby is an American actor and comedian, known for his role as Pastor Jeff Difford in Young Sheldon, as Philip in the HBO television series ‘Boardwalk Empire’, etc. However, Hobby started his acting career back in 2008 when he played a character in the direct-to-DVD film The Cult of Sincerity. Hobby is married to actress Mary Grill and they have twin sons named Emie and Lyle.
9. Emily Osment as Mandy
Emily Jordan Osment born and raised in Los Angeles is an actress, singer and songwriter. She began her career in her childhood and appeared in numerous TV shows and films. However, apart from giving everyone the character of Mandy and her works, the actress has dated actor Jimmy Tatro (2013-2015) and therapist Jim Gilbert (2016-2021).
10. Wyatt McClure as Billy Sparks
Wyatt McClure is an American actor who had been cast as Billy Sparks in Young Sheldon. He appreciated in 2017 and was later promoted to a regular cast in season 5. Billy, the character from the series, has been a constant bully to Sheldon.
Final Words
Though Young Sheldon ended in May 2024 with the one-hour season finale, it will always be one of the best comedy series to watch. There will be no season eight. This is saddening for the audience.
