We live in an era where teleworking coexists with face-to-face work. In some cases, companies do not decide to return to the face-to-face system, and many users are looking for devices to make their work easier. That’s what Dell is looking for with the S2422HZ and S2722DZ video conferencing monitors.

These are respectively two 23.8-inch and 27-inch monitors which are distinguished above all by having a webcam to be able to make video calls without having to add a separate accessory. A pop-up webcam, ideal for those who care about their privacy.

Retractable camera to monitor privacy

The Dell S2422HZ and S2722DZ are two 24 and 27 inch models that have an almost traced design. Clean lines and a few band-aids that show that we are dealing with monitors meant to be used at home or in the office for work, although the webcam is also usable for video calls in the personal sphere.

As for specs, the Dell S2422HZ and S2722DZ are QHD and Full HD monitors, respectively. They use an IPS panel-based display which in the case of the 23.8-inch model manages to deliver Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, while in the 27-inch it reaches QHD resolution.

They have a brightness of 250 nits and a 6-bit panel in the 23.8-inch model, numbers up to 350 nits, and an 8-bit panel in the 27-inch. In common, they both have a response time of 4 milliseconds, 99% coverage in the sRGB color space, a refresh rate of 75 Hz, and a contrast ratio of 1000: 1.

But the main claim is that both monitors have a 5MP pop-up camera that offers a resolution of 2,560 x 1,920 pixels and a coverage of 75 degrees. It has noise-canceling microphones and two 5-watt speakers built into the monitor. When not in use, the camera remains hidden, allowing you to control privacy.

These models feature TÜV-certified ComfortView Plus technology, a blue light reduction technology. As for connections, they include HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2, two USB 3.2 Type A ports, one USB 3.2 Type B port, and one USB Type C port.

Pricing and availability

The two monitors, Dell S2422HZ and S2722DZ, will be available throughout October this year at a price of 340 euros for the 23.8-inch model and 440 euros for the 27-inch.
