Spotify already has its new PWA-like app ready for Windows 10 and macOS. A new development that joins other applications that have been updated in recent weeks and which replaces the desktop application we have been using until now.
A new version of the Spotify app that replaces the existing desktop client and since it is a progressive web app, you will see how it is updated more frequently by adding options also available in the web version.
New design: easier list creation
The new Spotify app design is now available for Windows 10 and macOS, either on the Spotify website or the Microsoft Store. A new interface which nevertheless depends on activation on the server side, so even if we have the latest version of the application, we will have to wait for remote activation.
The new application, or rather the most recent one, carries the version number 1.158.820.0 and among the new features that we will find, the option to use the new web player in a separate window which eliminates the address bar of the browser stands. In addition, the new interface eliminates unnecessary checks and other extensions.
New tools are also coming that make it easier to create playlists by simply dragging and dropping songs into playlists that have already been created or that we are creating for the occasion. They have also added a dropdown menu with new sorting options and for those using the premium subscription it is also possible to download songs by clicking on the new offline button.
In my case I tried to see if the new interface was active and in both Windows 10 and macOS I still have the classic design so I still have to wait.
