WICKED LOCAL: Pilgrim at reduced power for third day as crews fix seawater leak

The Pilgrim nuclear power plant remained at reduced power early this morning as crews continued work on seawater leak in the plant’s condenser.

Operators at the 680-megawatt plant initially reduced power to about 50 percent Monday after the seawater leak was discovered. The plant remained at 30 percent as of early this morning, according to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
