A White Horse Beach man was arrested Thursday evening after allegedly attempting a rather aggressive form of debt collection.
According to Captain John Rogers, Evan McLaughlin, 22, of Beach Street allegedly went to the home of a Tide View Path man with the intent of collecting a debt. He allegedly did so, Rogers said, by hitting the 25-year victim in the left leg with a baseball bat.
McLaughlin left, Rogers said, and was later found in his car on Jan Marie Drive in West Plymouth.
He was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery to collect a debt.
the victim declined medical attention.
