Vegans will be exempt from requiring companies to vaccinate their employees in the UK. In the country, their beliefs are protected by labor law, according to legal experts interviewed by The Telegraph newspaper.

A spokesperson for Lewis Silkin, a law firm, said: “Some ethical vegans may disagree with vaccines on the grounds that they have inevitably been tested on animals.” Last year, a court ruled that so-called “ethical veganism” was a feature protected by labor law.

If a vegan is fired for refusing the Covid-19 vaccine, he can sue the company for it. The law also protects certain religious groups and people with disabilities.
