The United States recorded this Saturday (14) a record of children hospitalized with Covid-19, with just over 1,900 hospitalizations. The country has faced outbreaks caused by the Delta variant of the new coronavirus, which has higher transmissibility. The new wave mainly affects hospitals in the south of the country, in states far behind in vaccinating the population, according to CNN International.
Child hospitalization currently accounts for 2.4% of hospitalizations for the disease in the United States, where people under the age of 12 cannot receive Covid-19 vaccines.
