Two drug deaths over the weekend

Two people died of for possibly drug related reasons Saturday in Manomet and South Plymouth.

Early Saturday morning, an Attleboro man, 30, who had been checked into High Point on April 29 was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth after apparently overdosing at the facility, according to Captain John Rogers.

He was found unresponsive by staff at High Point where he was given Narcan before he was taken to the hospital, where he died, Rogers said.

No drug-related material was found at the scene. Rogers, said.

Late Saturday afternoon, a 59-year-old woman was found dead at a house in the 300 block of Long Pond Road, Rogers said.  A neighbor who hadn’t heard from the victim in several days called police, he added.

Drug paraphernalia and residue was found at the scene, Rogers said.
