An early evening car accident on Long Pond Road led to a drunk driving arrest, but not of the person one would expect.
According to Captain John Rogers, a Plymouth woman, 22, drove off the road near Clark Road, around 5:30 p.m. Thursday evening,. Due to a broken winch on the first tow truck that was sent, a second truck, driven by Joseph Murphy, 42, of Federal Furnace Road, was sent. When he arrived, police allegedly observed that he was drunk, Rogers said.
Murphy was charged with OUI liquor. The driver of the car was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth complaining of pain.
