In the mini PC market, we are used to seeing almost always the same formats. Small boxes, almost cube-shaped in most cases. A design from which the ACER RN96-F58Y separates. the brand’s new compact equipment.

A model that will be available from February 10 and that attaches to the ultra-thin tower format, somewhat reminiscent of the forms offered by a “big” PlayStation 2, first generation.

A compact PC as a multimedia center

The ACER RN96-F58Y is a mini PC that uses an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor inside accompanied by Intel Iris Xe Graphics. To these specifications it adds DDR4-3200 memory ranging from 8 GB to 32 GB and NVMe M.2 SSD storage of 512 GB as standard to which a 2.5-inch disk can be added as an option.

The ACER RN96-F58Y is very compact, which makes it an ideal model to accompany the television or monitor and does not take up much space. Just look how it measures just 33.5 millimeters wide, 178 millimeters high and 181 millimeters deep.

This mini PC has a Gigabit LAN connection, Wi-Fi IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax and Bluetooth 5.1. In addition to wireless connections, it offers a front USB 3.2 port and a USB Type C port compatible with fast charging and a headphone / speaker jack. On the back, an Ethernet port (RJ-45), two USB 3.2 ports (Type A, Gen 1, maximum 5 Gbps), two USB 2.0 ports, an HDCP-compatible HDMI output, a DisplayPort output port and a DC connector.

A mini PC that can be mounted on the back of the monitor to go more unnoticed thanks to a VESA mounting kit. It also comes with a multimedia keyboard and an optical mouse. The pre-installed operating system is Windows 11 in the 64-bit version.
