Samsung is renewing its line of “wearable” devices with two smartwatches which, in turn, include two different sizes. The renewal is not exactly cosmetic since the Galaxy Watch4 incorporates a large number of new features. From a new operating system to sensors that extend health measurements.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic are both identical in terms of hardware. They differ only in the case (aluminum for the normal model and stainless steel for the Classic), the bezel (digital for the first and physical for the second) and the case sizes (40/44 mm and 42/46 mm). . The rest of the characteristics are the same, the price varies from one range to another.
The new watches start with Wear OS 3, the long-awaited union between Tizen and Google’s operating system. Samsung covers the system with its own One UI Watch layer; in addition to including its own apps, such as Bixby and the Galaxy Store. This combination of software and hardware results in greater battery extension. Still according to Samsung, this remains to be verified.

The new SoC included in the watches, the Exynos W920, is made in 5nm and promises more power for the Galaxy Watch4 while reducing battery consumption. The watches expand the RAM memory compared to previous generations and also add sensors: they can now measure the amount of fat, muscle and bone density of the user; in addition to exercise, sleep and activity.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic are now available for reservation on the Samsung website. Its price starts at 269 euros for the first and 369 euros for the classic model; with shipment scheduled for August 20.
