Apple has released the second beta of iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4, along with tvOS 15.4 and watchOS 8.5. An update that, after the number of changes we saw in the previous version, should focus on improving new features rather than adding new features.

Probably the last beta before the presentation of iOS 16

After iOS 15.2 brought us a long list of changes and iOS 15.3 mainly focused on performance improvements and bug fixes, it’s time for news again. In the first iOS 15.4 beta, we saw some big changes, such as the arrival of Universal Control, the ability to use Face ID with a mask, new emoji, keychain changes and more .

After this amount of news, it’s expected that this second beta will focus on finishing polishing, if not enabling, the changes we’ve seen. Improvements that could reach Universal Control or Apple Mail settings in iCloud settings, to name a few examples, and still leave room for the occasional surprise.

If we want to enter the beta cycle, we can do so by following these steps, but we must bear in mind that we are talking about development versions that contain errors.

Already in the beta cycle, we will find the update in the Settings app as an OTA update. During the first few hours, Apple’s servers may receive more requests than usual, so the wait time may be longer.
