The start of Xiaomi’s global updates to MIUI 13 began with the release of the layer, with Android 12, on the first three mobiles enrolled in the “Mi Pilot” program, the one that advances international updates: the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G are the first to test MIUI 13.
We’re almost at the end of the first month of 2022 and there’s not much time left before the explosion of new launches begins across most brands. Xiaomi has planned some for this last week of January, the international Redmi Note 11 is one step away from seeing the light of day. And the previous generation releases MIUI 13 along with Android 12.
MIUI 13 stable ROM in tests for “Mi Pilot”
The global update period generally follows more or less fixed parameters, at least as far as key models are concerned: after testing the beta version in China, Xiaomi is extending the international stable version via its “Mi Pilot” program, a program to which brand users can register to test new versions of MIUI before anyone else.
As Xiaomiui advances, a portal specializing in Xiaomi software, MIUI 13 has made a global appearance for the first three Xioami mobiles: the Redmi Note 10, the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G. Those who have successfully registered via “My Pilot” can now access the corresponding downloads. The rest will still have to wait, surely not too long.
MIUI 13 arrives with Android 12 and with most of the news Xiaomi presented in China. Greater privacy, a refined style for the interface, renewed MIUI applications, new wallpapers and widgets, among many other features. It also has some shortcomings; like the absence of the Mi Sans Font or the new control center.
The update is only available for those who registered through “Mi Pilot”, but it can also be installed by downloading the ROM through applications such as MIUI Updater. Always be careful: although MIUI 13 Global is stable (the beta version is only distributed in China), it is still in testing.
