Water meter replacement program set to begin

The Town of Plymoth will begin replacing all  all commercial and residential water meters throughout town starting around May 15, 2017. According to a press release, Baystate Winsupply, will perform the installations.The company will need access to each customer’s house or business. WICKED LOCAL: Plymouth DPW proposes $34 million water expansion, wells would be at PSHS and Forges Field

There’s plenty of water in Plymouth, but there’s just not enough. Though Plymouth sits on one of the largest and purest sources of drinking water in Massachusetts – the Plymouth-Carver aquifer – it’s going to take a $34 million dollar expansion to meet the needs of the town’s near-term expected population growth, provide emergency redundancy, and plan for long-term sustainability. Watering ban reinstated

The continued lack of rain means that the town of Plymouth has reinstated watering restrictions that had been scaled back only a few days ago.
