OUI arrest for underage South Plymouth man

Police arrested a South Plymouth man for drunk driving early Saturday morning on Haven Road. According to Captain John Rogers, a police officer spotted a car parked in the middle of  Mast Road near Long Pond Road. The car then traveled south and was allegedly speeding on Haven Road before it was stopped. The officer allegedly found Corey Wedge, 20, of Great Wind Drive to drunk and placed him under arrest, Rogers said. A nip bottle of Jim Beam was allegedly found in the car, Rogers said. Learn about owls at the WIldlands Trust

Explore the world of owls with two talented naturalists and six lively owls, whose pursuits both near and far make this interactive program fun and educational at the Wildlands Trust on October 15 at 1 p.m.

“Who’s Watching You? Owls of the World” will introduce you to the owls of New England and beyond. Naturalist Marcia Wilson and photographer Mark Wilson will share the field marks, signs and naturalist’s skills used to find wild owls without disturbing them. Gas station video used to find allegedly stolen credit card

A South Plymouth man was arrested after allegedly using a stolen credit card to buy gas, Monday night. James Thompson, 25, of Gunners Exchange Road allegedly used the credit card at the Shell Gas Station off Exit 5, according to Captain John Rogers. Police were already aware of the stolen card because, Rogers said, a woman working at the nearby Home Depot reported her purse, which contained her credit cards and phone, had been stolen from the store. Using surveillance tape, police identified Thompson and found him at Pilgrim Hill Road, Rogers said. He was charged with receiving stolen property over $250 and improper use of a credit card under $250. Continue Reading →

South Plymouth man charged with driving under the influence of marijuana

A South Plymouth man was arrested for allegedly driving while stoned Friday night. According to Captain John Rogers, an officer patrolling in West Plymouth reportedly saw a car being driven by Austin Ward, 19, of Bay Colony Drive fail to stop at a sign on Carver Road. Testing set for water system expansion plan

The Town of Plymouth will be conducting geotechnical testing on  Clark Road, Beaver Dam Road, Long Pond Road and Jordan Road beginning  July 20, 2017:
This work is related to the design and permitting of the expansion of the Town’s municipal water system. This spring, Town Meeting provided funds to design and permit this project, which includes the development of two new groundwater supply facilities and the design of approximately 14 miles of water mains. The water system expansion will  include the installation of an elevated water storage tank, and the construction of valve control stations that will connect to the Town’s existing pressure zones. Construction of these proposed improvements would not occur until a subsequent Town Meeting Article approves funding. (more…) Continue Reading →
