Neighbors mark milestone as Shallow Pond Estates girl fights cancer

Friends and neighbors celebrated with Charlee Casale, who turned 5 today, as she celebrated a milestone in her battle with leukemia. Charlee was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia two years ago, her mother, Rachel said. Tuesday was her last chemotherapy treatment at  Boston Children’s Hospital and while she still has to have additional treatments at home, the family’s neighbors in Shallow Pond Estates thought it was a milestone worth celebrating. Shallow Pond Estates lights up to battle cancer

Manomet pair arrested for Middleborough, Rochester robberies

Two people were arrested Monday night in Shallow Pond Estates in connection with a series of out-of-town break ins. According to Captain John Rogers, police arrested Jackalyn Kelleher, 50 and Jason Parsons, 34, at the request of the Middleborough and Rochester police departments. Both are listed as residing on Barbara’s Way. While Kelleher was arrested without trouble, Parsons reportedly led police on what Rogers described as a brief foot chase. After he was caught, he complained of a foot injury and was taken to Jordan Hospital, where he was allegedly found in possession of heroin and alprazolam, a prescription drug. Continue Reading →

House broken into in Shallow Pond Estates

An Andrew’s Way home was broken into sometime early Friday morning while the family slept upstairs. According to Capt. John Rogers, the burglar was reportedly able to enter the house using a key taken from a car in the driveway. A car window was broken and a set of keys, including the house key, were found inside. Because of the mess left by the intruder police don’t know what, if anything, was taken. The residents, who may not have heard what was happening due to air conditioners running, slept through the entire incident., Rogers said. Continue Reading →
