Worker dies after falling off ladder at Priscilla Beach

A 29-year-old North Plymouth man died after he fell off a ladder at a home on Priscilla Beach Road, Wednesday afternoon. According to Captain John Rogers, the victim, who was employed by a contractor doing work on the home, suffered traumatic head injuries. July 3 parking restrictions

The Plymouth Police department has anounced traffic restrictions for the July 3 celebration on White Horse Beach and surrounding neighborhoods. Traffic on Taylor Avenue will be blocked to all traffic with the exception of residents between White Horse Road and Rocky Hill Road to Taylor Avenue at Manomet Point Road beginning at 6 p.m. and will remain closed as deemed necessary. Coins allegedly stolen from dead man’s home in Manomet

A lock box and several silver coins were allegedly stolen on April 5 from the home of a Priscilla Beach man who had recently died. According to Lieutenant Dana Flynn, the deceased’s daughter had come to his house on Cochituate Road to pick up some clothes for his funeral service when she noticed the items missing. Left on red leads to OUI arrest for Manomet woman

A Priscilla Beach woman was arrested for drunk driving after allegedly making a left on red at an intersection on Samoset Street, early Wednesday morning. According to Captain John Rogers, an officer waiting at the light allegedly saw Nicole Murphy, 33, of Farmhurst Road make the turn at about 1:30 a.m. He stopped her and, Rogers said, found her to be intoxicated. Manomet man arrested for attempted murder

A Priscilla Beach man is charged with attempted murder following an incident early Friday morning in North Plymouth. According to Lieutenant Dana Flynn, Cody Doane, 26, of Cochituate Road was arrested on Forest Avenue after allegedly firing a gun at a car. Doane, Flynn said, allegedly approached a car parked at the corner of Forest Avenue and Court Street. He then asked the cars occupants what they were doing in the neighborhood. He lifted his shirt to, the men believed, display a gun, Flynn said. Continue Reading →

Parking restrictions for July 3

Traffic on Taylor Avenue will be blocked to all traffic, except for residents, between White Horse Road and Rocky Hill Road to Taylor Avenue at Manomet Point Road beginning at 6 p.m.

It will remain closed as deemed necessary by the police. All side streets that lead to the Priscilla Beach area will be closed to all traffic, except for residents beginning at 6 p.m.There will be no parking all day at the following locations:

Manomet Point Road
Highland Terrace
White Horse Beach Road
Manomet Avenue
Old Beach Road
Rocky Hill Road between White Horse Beach Road and Power House Lane
Brian’s Way
Lopresti Road
Vine Brook Road
Cary Road
Fair Oaks Road
Arboretum Road
Emerson Field
Saint Catherine’s Chapel
Second Church
Beaver Dam Road from State Road to Patriot’s Circle
Manomet Elementary School

Police Capt. John Rogers advised that parking restrictions will be strictly enforced, and cars will be tagged and towed starting at 8 a.m., July 3. There will also be additional parking restrictions on Melix Avenue, Cape Cod Avenue and Reed Avenue. Information provided by Plymouth Police Department

Plymouth man charged after Priscilla Beach fight

A Bradford Street man faces numerous charges after getting into a fight with his girlfriend Saturday afternoon.According to Capt. John Rogers, Daniel Jennett, 27, pushed her after an argument on Priscilla Beach. He then took her car keys and drove off, in her car. He was later found at his home. The car’s door hinge was found to have been damaged.Jennett was charged with vandalism, malicious destruction of property over $250, using a motor vehicle without authority, and assault and battery. He also had an outstanding warrant for an additional assault and battery charge. Continue Reading →
