Manomet man charged with assaulting police officers

A Tide View Path man is under arrest for assaulting two police officers following an incident on that street, Sunday night. According to Captain John Rogers, police were called to a disturbance there at around 9 p.m. They found, he said, a man lying on the ground, bleeding from the head. Standing over him, Rogers said, was Eric Eddy, 27. When police approached him, he allegedly fled and when caught attacked one of the arresting officers. Left behind license leads cops to Pinehills vandal

Police found a Cedarville man who allegedly knocked over several street signs in the Pinehills and damaged a field in Chiltonville because he left a license plate behind. According to Captain John Rogers, Andrew Tolley, 28, of Cranberry Road allegedly knocked over signs along Stonebridge Road in the Pinehills with his Toyota Xterra SUV. Coins allegedly stolen from dead man’s home in Manomet

A lock box and several silver coins were allegedly stolen on April 5 from the home of a Priscilla Beach man who had recently died. According to Lieutenant Dana Flynn, the deceased’s daughter had come to his house on Cochituate Road to pick up some clothes for his funeral service when she noticed the items missing. Someone stole a safe but didn’t find what they were looking for, or anything for that matter. Animal cruelty charge for Manomet man

A Manomet man was arrested for animal cruelty after allegedly kicking his dog in a West Plymouth parking lot, Saturday afternoon. According to Captain John Rogers, two witnesses say they saw Edward Nadolny, 72, of Driftwood Lane take the dog out of his car in front of Planet Fitness on Carver Road and kick it. There were two dogs in the car, according to Rogers. A rottweiler and a bulldog. He did not know which dog was allegedly attacked. Continue Reading →

One dead in chemical incident at Manomet Elementary School

 

A custodian at Manomet Elementary School is reportedly dead following a chemical incident, according to Captain John Rogers. Chester Flattery, 53, died of chemical exposure, according to WATD-FM. Eleven other people were hospitalized for exposure to the unidentified chemicals, WBUR-FM reports.   Continue Reading →

Cape Cod man arrested in stabbing incident on Rocky Hill Road

A Falmouth man is under arrest for allegedly stabbing a Halifax man at a home in Manomet late Friday night. According to Captain John Rogers, police were called to a disturbance on Rocky Hill Road just before midnight. When they arrived, they learned that Thomas Iliffe, 42, had allegedly stabbed the 19-year-old Halifax man in the lower back. He also reportedly fought with a second man. (more…) Continue Reading →

Plymouth man rescues two at White Horse Beach

A man and his dog were rescued by a good samaritan Sunday morning at White Horse Beach. According to Captain John Rogers, a 40-year-old New Hampshire man went into the water to get his dog, which swam out too far. Witnesses saw the man and dog struggling to swim back and yelled for help, Rogers said. A 40-year-old Plymouth man who was fishing from his boat saw the pair and helped them into his boat. EMTs revive Manomet overdose victim with Narcan

A man living on Patriot Circle in Manomet was revived with Narcan after reportedly suffering a heroin overdose. According to Captain John Rogers, the drug, which is used to revive overdose victims,  was administered by emergency medical technicians. The 29-year-old victim was taken to the hospital. Woman arrested for attacking a police officer

Police arrested a woman at the High Point Treatment Center after she allegedly got violent. According to Capt. John Rogers, the 34-year-old woman was upset about being admitted at the facility. She reportedly became violent and broke two windows. When police arrived, she allegedly resisted arrest and attacked an officer. She was taken to Jordan Hospital for evaluation. Continue Reading →

Manomet woman charged with OUI

A Hollis Road woman was arrested for drunk driving on Long Pond Road early Wednesday morning. According to Captain John Rogers, Stacey Miller, 46, was pulled over at around 2 a.m. after allegedly running a stop sign. The officer reportedly determined she was intoxicated and arrested her. Alleged Cape Cod trespassers arrested at Pilgrim Station

Regardless of one’s opinion of the place, few people think of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station as a tourist attraction. But that’s the reason an elderly couple from Falmouth gave for attempting to enter the plant, Monday afternoon. According to Captain John Rogers, the pair, a 67-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman, reportedly drove their car through the main entrance gate and past other security barriers. They allegedly attempted to walk into the front entrance building where they were met by security. They claimed they wanted a tour of the facility, Rogers said. Continue Reading →

Duck hunters ruffle some feathers at Pilgrim Station

A pair of duck hunters caused a security scare at Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station Saturday morning. According to Capt. John Rogers, security at the plant were alerted by the sound of gun shots and notified the authorities. The pair were out on the water, but never entered the exclusion zone. Manomet pair arrested for Middleborough, Rochester robberies

Two people were arrested Monday night in Shallow Pond Estates in connection with a series of out-of-town break ins. According to Captain John Rogers, police arrested Jackalyn Kelleher, 50 and Jason Parsons, 34, at the request of the Middleborough and Rochester police departments. Both are listed as residing on Barbara’s Way. While Kelleher was arrested without trouble, Parsons reportedly led police on what Rogers described as a brief foot chase. After he was caught, he complained of a foot injury and was taken to Jordan Hospital, where he was allegedly found in possession of heroin and alprazolam, a prescription drug. Continue Reading →
