Alleged bank fraud scheme stopped at the Pinehills

A pair of Bridgeport, Connecticut men who had allegedly opened fraudulent bank accounts at several Massachusetts TD Bank branches saw their plan come to an end at the Pinehills, Thursday afternoon. According to Captain John Rogers, staff at the Pinehills branch had been alerted to the alleged scheme when Raul Samola, 36, reportedly tried to open an account at the branch. Holidays on the Green and the Reigndog Parade come to The Pinehills on December 3

The  Reindog Parade is back for another year of costumed canines and tail-wagging good times at this year’s Holidays on the Green at The Pinehills on Saturday, December 3,2016. Dogs from all over New England will be dressed in their best festive holiday apparel to participate in the parade. Special Guest Judge Lisa Donovan from KISS 108’s Matty in the Morning Show, and her chocolate lab will walk in the dog event that never disappoints. Police looking for suspects in Pinehills break-in

Police are looking for two men who allegedly broke into a Pinehills apartment near midnight on Friday as its occupants slept. According to Captain John Rogers, the two men reportedly forced their way into the apartment on Avalon Way, waking a male resident. The pair fled when they were seen, Rogers said. Pinehills gas station attendant calls in apparent overdose

A 53-year-old Plymouth woman was treated for a suspected drug overdose in the Pinehills, Friday afternoon. According to Captain John Rogers, the woman was getting gas at the Levis Brothers Service Station when the attendant pumping gas noticed her nodding off behind the wheel and called for help. Left behind license leads cops to Pinehills vandal

Police found a Cedarville man who allegedly knocked over several street signs in the Pinehills and damaged a field in Chiltonville because he left a license plate behind. According to Captain John Rogers, Andrew Tolley, 28, of Cranberry Road allegedly knocked over signs along Stonebridge Road in the Pinehills with his Toyota Xterra SUV. A Pinehills woman is out over a $1,000 after she fell victim to a phone scam on Friday. According to Captain John Rogers, the woman got a call from someone calling claiming to be her granddaughter. The caller said she had been arrested and needed money. The alleged victim wired the money and only later found out she had been duped. Continue Reading →
