The amplified music permit for the Rye Tavern allows the popular Pinehills restaurant to have two musicians and one microphone at a time. For many residents living nearby, that’s too much. Pinehills woman found parked in middle of road charged with OUI

A Pinehills woman faces OUI charges after being found slumped over in her car in the middle of Samoset Street near the Route 44 Gas Station, Wednesday afternoon. Megan Alix of Pinehills Drive was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth with minor injuries, Captain John Rogers said. She will be summonsed to court on charges of OUI liquor, OUI drugs and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. She allegedly had taken prescription drugs, Rogers said. (more…) Continue Reading →

Pinehills man hits garage, gets arrested for drunk driving

A Pinehills man was arrested for driving under the influence after allegedly crashing into a garage door, Sunday night. According to Captain John Rogers, Eric Gardner, 41, of Ridge was visiting a friend at Kensington when the crash occurred at around 7 p.m. He allegedly pulled into a neighboring driveway too fast, hitting the garage door and damaging it, Rogers said. Teen arrested for OUI after hitting tree on Old Sandwich Road

An Evergreen Drive man was arrested on drunk driving charges after allegedly hitting a tree and evading police on Old Sandwich Road, late Wednesday night. An officer responding to a disturbance on Tide View Path spotted Joshua Todisco, 19,  allegedly speeding northbound on Old Sandwich Road, Captain John Rogers said. The officer, who was on Clark Road, reportedly saw Todisco hit the tree at the intersection of Old Sandwich and Beaver Dam Roads. Pinehills woman arrested at home for OUI

A Pinehills woman was arrested for drunk driving after allegedly hitting a fence on Clifford Road, Thursday afternoon. According to Captain John Rogers, police were notified that a driver struck a fence on Clifford Road at around 5:30 p.m. They were given a plate number, he said, and eventually found Donna Manke-Williams, 66, of Grey Shale parked in her driveway at home. Environmentalists want voices heard on Pilgrim Station land

When it comes to the 1,500 acres of land that surrounds Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, local environmentalists want to be heard. The Coalition to Preserve Natural Plymouth recently came before the Manomet Village Steering Committee to talk about their ambitions for the land. Cheryl Heller expressed the group’s concerns over the plan to run a hydroelectric cable onto the land and connect it to a substation on the property. Emera Inc., the company bidding for the power contract, already has an agreement to lease 52 acres of land from Entergy for the project. (more…) Continue Reading →

Break-in suspect remains at large following helicopter search

Police continue to search for a Plymouth man who allegedly broke into a Pinehills apartment late Saturday night and then stole a car, Sunday. According to Captain John Rogers, the 33-year-old man allegedly gained access into his girlfriend’s residence on Merchants Row via a key he found hidden. The woman arrived and told him she was going to call the police, Rogers said. He then fled into the woods, Rogers said. The suspect allegedly had been doing drugs in the apartment. Pinehills man charged with assault

A Pinehills man is facing charges after allegedly threatening two people with a knife at a sober home Plymouth Center, Monday evening. William Fitzgerald, 53, of Clam Pudding was ejected from the home when he reportedly failed a breath test, Captain John Rogers said. He then returned to the home and entered the kitchen through an open door. There, Rogers said, he allegedly found a kitchen knife and threatened two 34-year-old men who worked there. Heroin suspected in overdose in Pinehills parking lot

A Plymouth man, 30, was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth following an apparent overdose in the parking lot of the Market in the Pinehills, Friday morning. According to Captain John Rogers, police responded to a report of a man siting in a pickup truck with a needle in his arm. When officers arrived, the found the man, conscious and alert. He admitted to using heroin, Rogers said.
