Pilgrims sweep season series with Muskrats

After suffering their first loss of the season Monday following the first win streak in club history, the Plymouth Pilgrims knew they had to come out and play well Thursday, and they did just that. The Pilgrims (6-2) defeated the Laconia Muskrats 8-3 at Forges Field, sweeping the season series with the Muskrats. Plymouth Pilgrims fall To Ocean State in pitcher’s duel

After winning three straight games for the first time in franchise history, the Plymouth Pilgrims rolled back home to try to extend the streak. The Pilgrims (5-2) fell to the Ocean State Waves 1-0 at Forges Field Monday night for the club’s first loss since June 12 in Newport. Plymouth Pilgrims blow lead, come back to beat Laconia

With the franchise’s first official winning streak on the line, the Plymouth Pilgrims traveled to New Hampshire to take on a Northern Division foe. It took a late inning rally to do it, but Plymouth is streaking. The Pilgrims (5-1) scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning to defeat the Laconia Muskrats 10-7 at Robbie Mills Field. Plymouth Pilgrims rally late to top Gulls

After a huge loss in Newport Monday, the Plymouth Pilgrims came back determined to win their rematch at Thursday. With a combination of great pitching and timely hitting at the end of the game, they did just that. Plymouth Pilgrims fall to Newport for first loss of season

In their first two games of the season, the Plymouth Pilgrims have succeeded because they made fewer mistakes than their opponents. On Monday night, they found out what happens when a team makes more mistakes than its opponents. The Pilgrims (2-1) suffered their first loss of the season to the Newport Gulls 7-2 at Cardines Field. Pair of Plymouth Pilgrims picked in MLB draft

Two players from last year’s Plymouth Pilgrim’s team were taken in the recently completed Major League Baseball draft. Infielder Steven Patterson was taken in the 10th round by the Cleveland Indians.  Catcher James Alfonso was taken in the 30th round by the Seattle Mariners. Continue Reading →

Pilgrims sail past Schooners for second straight victory

Last season, it took the Plymouth Pilgrims nearly a month to earn their second straight win. That same feat proved to be easier for the 2014 version of the ball club. The Pilgrims (2-0) defeated the Mystic Schooners 5-2 Saturday night at Fitch High School behind a four run 2nd inning and Vin Guglietti’s third home run of the young season. Plymouth Pilgrims roll to opening day win

In the Plymouth Pilgrims’ inaugural season last year, the baseball team failed to make it to the postseason as the organization worked to find their identity.
