Moose International honors Plymouth man at annual convention

Ralph “Woody” Whitman of Plymouth was awarded the Moose Fellowship Degree of Honor at the Moose International Annual Convention in Tampa, Florida. The Fellowship Degree is awarded to men who have demonstrated leadership ability by giving their time and effort to serve on various Moose committees and by being a loyal, enthusiastic and active member of their Lodge. The Fellowship Degree is the third of four degrees that Moose members are eligible for. Members of the Fellowship Degree are recognized throughout the Moose organization as fraternal leaders who have earned the respect of their fellow Moose members by service to others. Plymouth woman honored at Moose international Convention

Bernadette “Bernie” McDonnell of Plymouth was awarded the Women of the Moose “College of Regents” honor of excellence at the Moose International Annual Convention in Tampa, Florida 
 

McDonnell received entry into the Women of the Moose “College of Regents” for excellence during her term as Senior Regent at the Plymouth Chapter, Women of the Moose.  This degree of excellence is awarded only to those women who have led their Chapter to growth and prosperity.  She is a long-time member of the Women of the Moose in Plymouth, and has served in many officer and committee roles. Craft fair at the Moose Lodge

The Plymouth Moose Lodge is hosting a Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday November 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their lodge home, 601 State Street, in Manomet. Over 14 crafters will have their items for sale in the lodge function hall..  There will also be a table selling gently used books. Moose Youth Awareness Program offers college scholarships

Plymouth Moose Lodge invites local high school students to be part of the Youth Awareness Program. The Moose Youth Awareness program is for High school students interested in public speaking and educating young children on a number of positive lifestyle topics ranging from bullying to drug and alcohol abuse. Eligible students could end up earning some of the $30,000 in scholarship money provided by the Moose. Last year, Plymouth South High School students Olivia Howland and Colleen Begley earned state scholarships through this program. (more…) Continue Reading →

Francine Diamond of Plymouth was awarded the Women of the Moose “Green Cap” honor of distinction at the 80th Annual MA/RI State Moose Association Annual Convention in Andover. The Green Cap is awarded to senior officers who earn the Award of Achievement during their term of office for their Chapter.  This award is recognized throughout the fraternity as a sign of excellence. Francis Kuhn honored by Loyal Order of the Moose

Francis J. Kuhn, Jr. received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Massachusetts and Rhode Island Moose Association Mid-Year Conference which was held April 15-17 in Framingham. The award was presented to Kuhn for his commitment to the Plymouth Moose Lodge and his  involvement in the community. He was also given the award was his fundraising and support provided to Mooseheart, the fraternity’s children’s home outside Chicago, and Moosehaven, the fraternity’s senior community outside Jacksonville, Florida. Six women honored at Moose Lodge convention

Six women from the Plymouth Chapter of the Women of the Moose were honored with a special conferral at the recent Massachusetts and Rhode Island Moose Association Mid-Year Conference in Framingham. Rhonda Meleedy ,Suzanne McPherson, Margaret Masciulli, Cara Masciulli, Frances Whitman and Gail Kirk all received the Academy of Friendship degree during a special conferral ceremony on Sunday, April 17. Plymouth South High students win scholarships at Moose Congress

Plymouth South High School students Olivia Howland and Colleen Begley were the top two scholarship award winners in the 2015-2016 Massachusetts and Rhode Island Moose “Youth Awareness” Program. Howland won a $1,000 scholarship as the first place winner and second place winner Begley won $500. The two will move on to the national Moose Student Congress in Virginia on April 28 where they will compete for additional scholarships. (more…) Continue Reading →

Plymouth women honored at Loyal Order of Moose International Convention

Irene Thomas and Sue Ellen Crawford Lincoln received degrees of excellence for their work as officers of the at the the Loyal Order of Moose International Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. Irene Thomas of Plymouth received the Women of the Moose “Star Recorder” for excellence during her term as Recorder at the Plymouth Chapter, Women of the Moose.  This degree of excellence is awarded only to those women who excel at maintaining the records and finances of their chapter. Plymouth Moose Lodge to host a free opioid overdose prevention education class on Saturday

The Plymouth Moose Lodge will host a free Opioid Overdose Prevention Education Class in their Lodge home at 601 State Road in Plymouth on Saturday, June 27 from 10 a.m. until noon.  Coffee and light refreshments will be served during this education class.
