Cedarville man, 62, allegedly robs Manomet store

A 62-year-old Cedarville man was arrested for allegedly robbing the Dollar Tree store in Manomet at gunpoint, late Thursday afternoon. According to John Rogers, Timothy Sheehan, wearing a hoodie and sunglasses, allegedly entered the store and demanded the contents of the store’s cash register. Selectmen back bid to bring power lines into Plymouth

Efforts to make Plymouth the last stop for a major hydroelectric cable got a boost from the Board of Selectmen, Tuesday. The board voted its support for a Special Town Meeting article that would transfer a parcel of land near the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, which was taken by the town due to a tax issue, from the Town Treasurer to the Board of Selectmen. Manomet man charged with misleading police after sending them on search

A Manomet man is under arrest after sending police on an early morning search in the Fresh Pond area for a woman who wasn’t missing. According to Captain John Rogers, EMTs responded to a report of a woman having a seizure at a home on Clearwater Drive at around 2 a.m. When they arrived, they were told by Anthony Violia, 25, of Delancy Drive, that she had recovered and taken herself to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth. Bourne woman taken to hospital following Pine Hills car crash

A Bourne woman, 47, was taken to the hospital following a single-car accident on State Road in the Pine Hills, early Thursday morning. According to Captain John Rogers, the woman swerved to avoid hitting a deer, she then struck a pole and skidded against a guard rail. Break-in reported on Manomet Point Road

A work trailer at the Simes House was reportedly broken into sometime over the weekend. According to Lieutenant Dana Flynn, it’s unknown how entry was gained into the fenced-in site, but the trailer door was pried off and a nail gun was taken. Camera test leads to larceny arrest

Police arrested a Manomet woman for larceny after her alleged theft from a North Plymouth home was caught on camera. According to Captain John Rogers, a Cushman Street homeowner was testing a security camera when he reportedly saw  footage of Samantha Derendal, 34, of White Horse Road taking several vinyl records. Car accident in Manomet sends four to hospital

Four people,  including a two-year-old boy, were taken to the hospital following a two car accident on State Road in Manomet, Sunday morning. According to Captain John Rogers, a car traveling north near Brentwood Circle at about 7 a.m. hit a deer, then swerved into the other lane, where it struck an oncoming vehicle head-on. THE PATRIOT LEDGER: Lawyer says police lied to get Plymouth prostitution indictment

A defense lawyer says police lied to secure an indictment against a local man on human trafficking charges. Attorney Conrad Bletzer states in court pleadings that a key witness against Douglas Crociati told an investigator for the defense that she does not know and cannot identify the West Plymouth man accused of running a Manomet spa as a house of prostitution. Too many new homes on historic road for Planning Board

Plans for a small housing development on a historically significant parcel of land in Manomet met opposition from neighbors and skepticism from the Planning Board. Nancy Nolan, who owns 20 Brook Road, located near the northern end of the street, is proposing to build five single family homes, or two single family homes and two duplexes, on the 2.8 acre property. The property was once owned by Robert Bartlett, who came to Plymouth in 1623, according to Jan Rushforth, who once owned it along with her husband, the late Dr. David Rushforth. West Plymouth man arrested for OUI on Sea View Drive

A West Plymouth man is under arrest for drunk driving following an alleged hit and run accident in Manomet, early Saturday morning. According to Captain John Rogers, police responded to a call from Sea View Drive just after midnight. Manomet man charged with assaulting police officers

A Tide View Path man is under arrest for assaulting two police officers following an incident on that street, Sunday night. According to Captain John Rogers, police were called to a disturbance there at around 9 p.m. They found, he said, a man lying on the ground, bleeding from the head. Standing over him, Rogers said, was Eric Eddy, 27. When police approached him, he allegedly fled and when caught attacked one of the arresting officers. Two accidents in an hour on State Road for Pembroke woman

Plymouth police will move to have a Pembroke woman’s license revoked after she was involved in two accidents in Manomet in a little more than an hour. According to Captain John Rogers, the 32-year-old driver allegedly sideswiped another vehicle as she was traveling on State Road at around 6 p.m. on Saturday. Craft fair at the Moose Lodge

The Plymouth Moose Lodge is hosting a Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday November 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their lodge home, 601 State Street, in Manomet. Over 14 crafters will have their items for sale in the lodge function hall..  There will also be a table selling gently used books. Tidmarsh Farms isn’t open to the public…yet

Tidmarsh Farms East isn’t open for business quite yet. Residents used to walking the property before its restoration, sometimes with their pets, have been venturing back onto the site now that the earth-moving equipment has been removed, according to Tidmarsh Farms Trustee Glorianna Davenport.  Now that the big trucks have left, the project has shifted focus to planting in upland areas, which Davenport called a “sensitive time for the project” in an e-mail. Manomet man faces charges after napping in car

A Manomet man will be charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop for police after allegedly being found passed out in his car. According to Captain John Rogers, the 24-year-old suspect was found  his car at the intersection of Beaver Dam Road and State Road around 3 a.m., Friday morning.
