Plymouth Moose holding golf benefit for wounded warriors

The Plymouth Moose will hold a golf tournament to benefit wounded veterans on Sunday, October. 7, at the Crosswinds Golf Course in Plymouth. The cost is $85 per golfer for greens fee, cart, sandwich and soda on the course. The tournament format is a scramble format with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. An awards dinner immediately follows at the Plymouth Moose Lodge, 601 State Road, Plymouth. Waverly Oaks describes plan for new housing development

A plan to build up to 112 homes at the Waverly Oaks Golf Club didn’t get an enthusiastic reception from the Planning Board, Monday night. It wasn’t the number of houses that bothered some board members, but how they were situated. Tom Ryan, a landscape architect working for Waverly Oaks, told the board that out of three options, a clustered development was best. He he said it would have the least impact on the landscape, requiring the cutting down of fewer trees. It would also mean that not all homeowners would live directly along the golf course.
