The Network of Open Space Friends is holding its fall hometown cleanup this Saturday. Several cleanups are being organized in the Manomet and Pinehills area. Open house at the Davis-Douglas farm

Tours of the Davis-Douglas Farm will take place September 29 and October 21. The Wildlands Trust is hosting two open houses at the Davis-Douglas Farm on Long Pond Road. The events will give visitors a chance to learn about the Trust’s plans to relocate its headquarters to the property and to establish a new conservation center focused on land protection, land stewardship and passive outdoor recreation. Saint Bonaventure passes Conservation Commission test

<p>The latest hurdle for St. Bonaventure Parish=E2=80=99s plans to bu=
ild a new church proved easier to leap than the last one.</p>
<p>The Conservation Commission gave the project its OK, ruling it did=
not require any additional permits to build an expanded parking lot, the p=
art of the project that had proven troublesome in meetings with the Plannin=
g Board and <a href=3D”
d-wont-give-st-bonaventure-parking-variance.html” target=3D”_blank”>Zoni=
ng Board of Appeals</a>.</p>
<p>Matt Varrell of Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. told the commission =
work on the lot would affect 2,500 square feet of wetlands near <a href=
ed=3D0CB8Q8gEwAA” target=3D”_blank”>Charles Higgins Way</a>, which=
borders the northern part of the property. In the end, though, Varrell sai=
d the new lot would mean a reduction of 750 square feet in pavement.</p&=
