Art on the Green this Saturday at the Pinehills

Art on the Green – an art exhibit and market featuring 100  local and regional artists showcasing their paintings, wood and glass art, photography, sculptures, eclectic jewelry, wearable art returns to the The Village Green at The Pinehills on June 20. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will also feature live steel drum music and food from The Market, Mamma Mia’s,  East Bay Grille at The Pinehills  Golf Club and the Mirbeau Inn and Spa. Pinehills art and craft fair this Saturday

Be one of those people who gets their holiday shopping done really early. An art and craft fair takes place this Saturday, October 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Stonebridge Club, 44 Stonebridge Road in the Pinehills. Open mic night on the Strand

Calling all writers, poets and spoken word performers for a writer’s workshop and open mic session on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Manomet Branch Library, 12 Strand Avenue. The writer’s workshop begins at 7 p.m. and lasts for half an hour.  During this time, writers will be encouraged to share their work and receive helpful criticism before participating in the open mic at 7:30 p.m. The open mic portion will last until 8:15 p.m. or until everyone is finished.  People are welcome to attend one or both parts of the evening. Local artists show works at Plymouth Guild Art Show

Local art lovers have until Sunday to check out this year’s Juried Art Show at the Plymouth Center for the Arts on North Street. Two of the award-winning works on display are by Manomet area artists. Mary Taylor won second prize in the digital art category for her piece titled “Breaking Dawn.” Steve Franzino received an honorable mention in black and white photography for “Boy.”
Admission is free. Doors open at 10 a.m. every day and close at 4 p.m., except on Friday and Saturday when the center is open until 8 p.m.

Art on the Green at the Pinehills, Saturday, June 18

Over 90 local artists and artisans will be displaying, and selling, their work at the Pinehills’ 7th annual Art on the Green, this Saturday. For artistically inclined youngsters, there will be face painting and “make a tie for dad.” For a $5 donation, kids can paint a white tie for Father’s Day. Proceeds benefit the Baird Center. And if art’s not your thing, the Grilled Cheese Nation Truck will be back. The event once again takes place on the Village Green from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
