Manomet man charged with two counts of assault

Two people are under arrest, and one is in the hospital,  following a fight on Patriot Circle, Monday evening. According to Captain John Rogers, police responded to a call about two men fighting in the street at Patriot Circle at around 6:30 p.m.  Michael McStay, 48, of Patriot Circle had allegedly assaulted a 48-year-old Plymouth woman by picking her up and throwing her to the pavement, Rogers said. A Wareham man, 23,  then reportedly intervened. McStay allegedly threatened him with  knife and, in self-defense, the Wareham man punched McStay, sending him to the pavement. As a result, McStay suffered a head injury and was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth. Continue Reading →

Pinehills man charged with OUI after allegedly hitting sign post

A Pinehills man is facing a drunk driving charge after crashing his car on Clark Road. According to Captain John Rogers, Wayne McNamara, 69, was attempting to make a left turn out of Landmark Drive at about 11 p.m. He allegedly failed to complete the turn, crashing his car into a wooden signpost marking the entrance to the housing development across the street. Manomet man arrested after throwing cigarette, clothing rack at cop

A Manomet man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a police officer multiple times on the Plymouth waterfront, Thursday night. According to Captain John Rogers, an officer approached a man who was yelling and screaming on Water Street at around 9 p.m.. When the officer told the man to put out his cigarette, he instead allegedly threw it at the officer, Rogers said. The cigarette reportedly hit the officer, injuring him slight. Alleged bank fraud scheme stopped at the Pinehills

A pair of Bridgeport, Connecticut men who had allegedly opened fraudulent bank accounts at several Massachusetts TD Bank branches saw their plan come to an end at the Pinehills, Thursday afternoon. According to Captain John Rogers, staff at the Pinehills branch had been alerted to the alleged scheme when Raul Samola, 36, reportedly tried to open an account at the branch. Bay Shore Drive man arrested for OUI

A 41-year-0ld Manomet man was arrested for drunk driving Monday night in Plymouth Center. According to Captain John Rogers, police responded to a report near midnight of a man slumped over the wheel of his car near Wood’s Seafood. When they arrived, Rogers said, he drove off. Sullivan Avenue man found with car allegedly stolen in Brockton

A Manomet man allegedly drove a stolen car to Great Island Pond, Wednesday morning. According to Lieutenant Dana Flynn, police received a report that car, reported stolen the previous day in Brockton, had been found parked on Savery Road. Manomet man arrested at hotel on drug charges

A Falmouth Road man was one of two people arrested on multiple drug charges, Sunday night at the Comfort Inn on Samoset Street. According to Lieutenant Dana Flynn, police were called to the hotel at around 11 p.m. after staff reported that a couple had been in a bathroom for over 30 minutes. Manomet man arrested for identity theft

Police arrested an Ellisville Drive man for identity theft after he allegedly used someone else’s information to get out of numerous motor vehicle charges. According to Captain John Rogers, Francis Moynihan Jr, 57  allegedly used the name of a 57-year-old Quincy man when he had been stopped previously on multiple motor vehicle violations. State Road man arrested for allegedly slashing tires

A Manomet man, 24, was arrested after allegedly slashing the tires of a female acquaintance’s car, early Friday morning. According to Captain John Rogers, police were called around midnight after a report that one tire had been slashed on the alleged victim’s car, he then returned and reportedly slashed two more tires. Police spotted him driving on State Road and pursued him until he hit a pile of logs on Cape Cod Avenue, damaging both his front tires, Rogers said. (more…) Continue Reading →

Manomet man parked in front of Plymouth Rock charged with second OUI

A Manomet man thought Plymouth Rock was the place to sleep it off. According to Captain John Rogers, police were alerted to car parked on the sidewalk in front of the Rock around 11:30 p.m., Saturday. Central Mass. man arrested in Marshland’s cell phone theft

A Baldwinville man has been arrested for allegedly stealing a cell phone at the Marshland’s restaurant on Friday. Brandon Cormier, 28 was picked up on a probation warrant in Fitchburg on Monday, according to Captain John Rogers.  Cormier had been the subject of a search which included a canine unit and helicopter after he reportedly walked into the restaurant, reached over the counter and stole a cell phone. Warrant check leads to drug arrest in Manomet

Plymouth detectives arrested a Manomet man for illegal possession of drugs and ammunition, Wednesday morning. According to Captain John Rogers, the detectives stopped the man, 26, near his home on State Road because he had outstanding warrants for trespassing and violating a harassment prevention order. A search of the a nearby business allegedly found a morphine and under an ounce of marijuana, Rogers said. He allegedly also had a single .38 caliber bullet on him, according to Rogers. Late night drive leads to second OUI arrest for Plymouth man

Police arrested a Mountain Hill Road man on drunk driving charges for the second time following a brief, slow, chase in South Plymouth, Saturday night. According to Captain John Rogers, an officer traveling on Long Pond Road at around midnight was passed by a car that was allegedly speeding in the opposite direction. When the officer turned around to follow, the driver reportedly turned onto Clark Road, Thatcher Road and other streets before stopping at the new development at Waverly Oaks Golf Club. Duxbury teen arrested for driving while high

A Duxbury teen faces drugged driving charges after being stopped by police in Manomet on New Year’s Day. According to Captain John Rogers, the 16-year-old male was spotted by police in the area of State Road and Powerhouse Road at about 2:20 a.m. He reportedly had a flat tire and was driving on a rim. Juvenile charged with assault at Home for Little Wanderers

A staffer at the Home for Little Wanderers South Campus on Ship Pond Road was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth after allegedly being assaulted by a female client. According to Captain John Rogers, the staffer was restraining another client when he was allegedly kicked in the head by the 13-year-old girl, Rogers said. California man arrested for OUI

A California man was arrested for drunk driving in Manomet after allegedly hitting a parked car in Plymouth Center. According to Captain John Rogers, Brandon Wagner, 24, of Holtville, California, was reported to have struck a car parked on Middle Street sometime early Friday morning. According to Captain John Rogers, detectives searched an apartment on Prince Street following what he called a months-long investigation into alleged heroin dealing at the location. Pair from Manomet arrested after police find drugs in car

Two people from Manomet were arrested on drug distribution charges Sunday morning. According to Captain John Rogers, police responded to a reported drug overdose at the Radisson Hotel in Plymouth Center. Three arrested in drug bust near power plant

Three people were arrested during an alleged heroin deal in Manomet Friday evening, including a White Horse Beach man. According to Captain John Rogers detectives saw Wayne Little, 24, of Plymouth drive down Power House Road where he stopped and met with the driver of another car. Rogers said Little was “known to them.”

Animal cruelty charge for Manomet man

A Manomet man was arrested for animal cruelty after allegedly kicking his dog in a West Plymouth parking lot, Saturday afternoon. According to Captain John Rogers, two witnesses say they saw Edward Nadolny, 72, of Driftwood Lane take the dog out of his car in front of Planet Fitness on Carver Road and kick it. There were two dogs in the car, according to Rogers. A rottweiler and a bulldog. He did not know which dog was allegedly attacked. Continue Reading →

Lost dog leads to alleged assault on White Horse Beach

A Pearl Street man was arrested after allegedly assaulting a 67-year-old South Deerfield man, Monday evening. According to Captain John Rogers, Timothy Keneklis, 43, was allegedly upset when a group of people looking for a lost dog would not get out of his way on Pearl Street. An Ellisville Drive man was arrested Friday night after he reportedly waved a gun at people on Sea View Drive. Lee Gillespie, 44, was reportedly upset about fireworks going off in the area when he allegedly pointed what turned out to be BB gun at several people, Captain John Rogers said.
