Until now, Spotify was an application that provided a lot of functions for watches equipped with the Wear OS operating system. Among them, we could access the different playlists and control the content streamed to another device through Spotify Connect.
Now this app is updated to incorporate one of the most expected functions by users, and it is none other than being able to download music to local storage of our smart watch to be able to listen to it offline. .
Offline music so you can leave your phone at home
In detail, Spotify itself explains that this function is available on all watches with Wear OS 2.0 or higher versions, so you can check in the updates section of your smartwatch if you can access it.
Thanks to this new function, users who have purchased Spotify Premium will be able to download songs, playlists, podcasts and even complete albums to be able to play them without the need of connection. On the other hand, users who do not have a Premium plan will only be able to download podcasts and shuffle stream using a WiFi or data network, but they will not be able to download music for offline playback.
Of course, we have to keep in mind that downloading this content will take up storage space on our device, so we have to be careful not to end up with the surprise that our internal memory has been completely occupied.
As we told you, this update is already available for all watches with Wear OS 2.0 or higher versions and, if you haven’t received it yet, in the next few weeks it will hit the rest of the devices awaiting update.
