Samsung continues to expand its catalog of monitors and now adds the spectacular Samsung S49A950UIU. And the point is that although the brand already has monitors with large diagonals, it is attracting attention for the ultra-wide format, for focusing on professional users and for having very high-end specifications.
Right off the bat, the Samsung S49A950UIU attracts attention with its looks. A huge 49-inch monitor that offers a discreet appearance, fruit of the market it is aimed at. And it’s a less striking monitor than the similar ones in the Odyssey range thanks to an almost completely clean black back, where only the word Samsung gives a little pop of color.
With connections of all kinds
The set develops around a curved VA-tipped panel with 1800R curvature, a massive 49-inch diagonal, and a 32: 9 aspect ratio, which puts us ahead of another ultra-wide model. To all these figures we must add that this is a 5K monitor capable of offering 5,120 × 1,440 pixels, the equivalent of two WQHD screens.
The Samsung S49A950UIU also allows to work with refresh rates up to 120 Hz (we do not see the 240 Hz of the other models of the Odyssey series), a brightness of 350 cd / m² which allows it to obtain the certification. DisplayHDR 400, 1.07 billion on screen, 3000: 1 contrast and 4 millisecond response time.
