Actor Charly Hübner says goodbye to “Polizeiruf 110” in Rostock. Over 9 million viewers were there.
The last episode with Charly Huebner brought Rostock “Polizeiruf 110” its highest number of viewers to date. 9.24 million (28.8%) were there Sunday night from 8:15 p.m. on the first screen.
This is a record for television investigators Sascha Bukow (Hübner) and Katrin König (Anneke Kim Sarnau). Hübner’s departure from the crime thriller NDR was overall rather unspectacular.
It goes up and away
A lot of blood spilled in a villa and Bukow killed his opponent Zoran Subocek (Aleksandar Jovanovic), who had ruthlessly blackmailed him, in the eventful and gripping episode. But in the end, Bukow simply left Rostock University Square in a pickup – without saying goodbye to his longtime colleague, profiler LKA König. In turn, she headed for the police headquarters. With König, it continues in “Polizeiruf 110” – alongside actress Lina Beckmann, who is Charly Hübner’s wife in real life.
What had already emerged in past episodes came true – after almost twelve years – in the last episode of Rostock Police Call: From the King. Bukow, who has always shown himself to be a confrontational character, had to “sort it out” in his head and therefore leave now, he said in explanation to his partner, who was in tears.
The previous best value of the series was established in October 2019 by the episode “Dark Twin” with 8.88 million (26.3%). (dpa)
