Police find syringe, drug paraphernalia in suspected OUI case

A 25-year-old Cedarville man was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs after driving his car off Clifford Road, Saturday afternoon.

This was one of two times police encountered the man over the weekend.

According to Captain John Rogers, Benjamin Theisen was found unresponsive in his car and had trouble breathing. Firemen administered narcan and he was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth.

A syringe and heroin paraphernalia was allegedly found in the car, Rogers said.

Thisen was charged with OUI drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation.

Late Sunday night, police were called to his home where his family had administered narcan after a second overdose.
