Plymouth South High School students take the prize at DECA conference

Plymouth South Marketing joined 18,000 students from The US, Canada, and China at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Florida from April 25-29.

The team of Shanlea Kernen and Drew Guadagno were awarded Gold Level certification for their business plan on The School Store. This is the 8th consecutive year Plymouth South Marketing has achieved that distinction.

Emily Schlecht joined Shanlea in Florida to present the Human Resource Management component of the store’s operations in the School Based Enterprise competitive event.  These two students earned an additional gold medallion by finishing as Top 10 International Finalists.

Tyler Glennon and Patience Machaby as well as Shanlea and Emily were among a few students state-wide awarded a certificate of excellence for their mastery of the marketing competency exam.
