A Plymouth police officer was hit by a car while attending to a car crash on State Road near Bartlett Road, Tuesday afternoon.
The officer was hit by a car driven by a 69-year-old Plymouth man who was suffering from a medical issue, according to Lieutenant Dana Flynn. The officer, he said, flipped over the hood of the car. He was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth, but returned to duty later that, Flynn said. The driver was treated at the scene. He will not be charged.
No one was hurt in the original accident, which involved two cars colliding as one exited Bartlett Road.
