Pilgrims win one, lose one to New Bedford

Entering Saturday’s game, the Plymouth Pilgrims had only lost twice in a row one time all season and wanted to keep that stretch going. Thanks to a tremendous pitching performance, they did.

The Pilgrims (24-7) beat the New Bedford Bay Sox 7-1 at Paul Walsh Field in New Bedford to split their home and home series. Starting pitcher Aaron Fossas tossed eight brilliant innings, giving up an unearned run on three hits while striking out six.
