Pilgrims sign two from Tulane

Two players from Tulane University have joined the Plymouth Pilgrims, according to a press release from the team.

Pitcher Jack Hogan finished last season with a 4-1 record and a 1.58 ERA.  Hogan, who grew up in Singapore, missed the 2015 season following Tommy John surgery.

Joining him is shortstop Sal Gozzo.  He played for Sheehan High School in Wallingford, Connecticut, batting .384 in 2016. His father, Sal, pitched for Twins, Mets, Indians and Blue Jays from 1989 to 1994.
