Pilgrims shut out Valley

After two days off following the NECBL All-Star Game, the Plymouth Pilgrims had a magic number of six heading into a grueling 11 game in 11 day stretch to end the regular season. They started off on the right foot in game one.

The Pilgrims (25-7) defeated the Valley Blue Sox 2-0 Wednesday at Forges Field. Starting pitcher Thomas Jankins, who was cut by the Blue Sox before the season, threw six and a third innings of shutout baseball and is now up over 39 innings without allowing an earned run.
