Pilgrims blown out by Ocean State

The Plymouth Pilgrims had won their last three games by a score of 17-5 over the fifth- and sixth-place teams in the NECBL Southern Division. Their streak of good play ran out against the fourth-place team, however.

The Pilgrims (18-6) lost to the Ocean State Waves 8-2 at Forges Field Wednesday night. The Pilgrims stranded 15 runners on base, tying their season high for a regulation game set on June 12 in a win over Newport.
