Pilgrims bash Mystic, take down Sanford

After the offensive explosion the Plymouth Pilgrims had Thursday, it was hard to expect a repeat performance back at home. On the strength of a hot hitter, expectations were met and exceeded.

The Pilgrims (20-6) the Mystic Schooners 10-4 at Forges Field Friday. The Pilgrims were led offensively by left fielder Brent Rooker, who went 4-for-5 with two long home runs and five RBI.

The Pilgrims (21-6) beat the Sanford Mainers 3-2 in a battle between two first place teams. Thomas Jankins went seven and a third innings giving up two unearned runs on six hits while striking out seven strikeouts.
