After the taser the company presented at WWDC in 2020, Apple is now giving us more information about the series. In its first season, there will be 10 episodes in which Hari Seldon, played by Jared Harris, predicts the fall of the empire.

When revolutionary Dr Hari Seldon predicts the Empire’s imminent downfall, he and a group of devotees venture to the far reaches of the galaxy to establish the Foundation with the goal of rebuilding and preserving the future of civilization. Enraged by Hari’s claims, the ruling Cleons – a long line of emperor clones – fear their dominance of the galaxy will weaken as they are forced to face the possible reality of losing their legacy to always.

It should be noted the impressive difficulty of adapting a novel, a collection of novels in fact, so vast and complex on the screen. Series producer David Goyer has admitted that he wants the new series to reach eight seasons, which gives us an idea of ​​how much information needs to be condensed and explained.

The first three episodes of the series premiere on September 24, while the remaining seven will be released every Friday over the following weeks. A wait that, without a doubt, can be long for fans of Asimov and science fiction in general.
