OBITUARY: Deborah Amico, 63, dedicated herself to caring for others

Deborah Marie Amico of Buzzards Bay, formerly of Plymouth, passed away at Good Samaritan Medical Center at age 63 after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

She is survived by her beloved husband Robert of Buzzards Bay, her daughter Cheryl Amico-Stepp of Georgia and her son Robert Amico Jr. of Winchester.


She is also survived by her brother Vincent Holland of Plymouth, her sister Darlene Allen of Andover, her grandchildren Cassie, Shane and Robert and many nieces and nephews.

Deborah was born in East Cambridge, daughter of the late Vincent Holland and Evelyn (Valair) LaFave. She was a hospice and certified nursing aid for many years and dedicated to taking care of people.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 24 at St. Bonaventure’s Church in Plymouth at 11 a.m. Friends and family are invited to gather at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Road, Manomet from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. before the Mass.

Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the New England Organ Bank, 60 1st Ave, Waltham, MA 02451 or to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio St, Suite 304, Chicago, IL 60611-3201.
