New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo resigned on Tuesday (10), a week after the state attorney’s office filed a report saying the Democratic politician sexually harassed 11 state officials and former employees. The decision is seen as a way to block efforts to open impeachment proceedings against him.
“Given the circumstances, the best way to help now is to step aside and let the government go back to government,” Cuomo said.
