An old acquaintance with some tweaks

Although both have 5G connectivity, the main difference we found between the Moto G50 we already knew and the newcomer Moto G50 5G is that the latter mounts MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 processor instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480. Both have 4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and Android 11.

It also changes the location of the fingerprint reader, which is no longer on the back, but on the side. The rest of the features are the same, including the 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging and the 6.5-inch LCD display with HD + resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.

The rear camera module is square instead of elongated, but the sensors remain the same: the main 48 MP, the depth 2 MP and a macro lens which, yes, goes from 5 to 2 MP. The 13 MP front camera and splash-proof design are also retained in the new model.

Moto G50 5G price and availability

The new Moto G50 5G is marketed in the colors Meteorite Gray (meteor gray) and Green (green) in a single configuration with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of capacity. At Motorola Australia, it is already available for 399 Australian dollars, which equates to around 246 euros at the current exchange rate. At the moment, there are no details on its price and availability in other countries.
