British soul singer Amy Winehouse died exactly ten years ago. She was only 27 years old.

London (AP) – Exactly ten years after her death, many Britons on Friday thought of singer Amy Winehouse. The musician with the impressive voice and beehive hairstyle died on July 23, 2011 at the age of 27 from alcohol poisoning.

On the tenth anniversary of her death, the BBC wanted to broadcast a new documentary on the life of the exceptional singer, in which her mother also had her say. Amy Winehouse’s former goddaughter, singer Dionne Bromfield, has also made a documentary about her model, which will air next week on MTV in Britain. In the London Borough of Camden, where Winehouse lived before her death, a life-size bronze statue commemorates the jazz and soul singer since 2014.
