It is learned that talks between the Northern Alliance and the Taliban, led by Ahmed Masood, began in Parwan. The talks on behalf of the Taliban were led by Maulana Amir Khan Muktai. The Taliban have called the talks a peace jirga. The meeting took place in Charikar area of ​​Parwan district.

The Taliban said on the Panjshir issue that both sides have agreed on a ceasefire. In Panjshir, the fighters on both sides will not fire at anyone at the moment and there will be no tension.

Recently there were reports of firing between Taliban and Northern Alliance fighters on Panjshir border. It said that around 300 Taliban were killed. The Taliban are constantly trying to capture Panjshir. However, the Northern Alliance is adamant that this will not happen.
