India Today quoted sources as saying that Masood Azhar had met Maulana Abdul Ghani Baradar, the head of the Taliban’s political wing. Masood Azhar has sought the help of the Taliban to carry out the activities of Jaish-e-Mohammed in the Kashmir Valley. Recently Masood Azhar expressed happiness over the Taliban occupation of Afghanistan. In a note dated 16 August titled “Manzil ki Tarar”, the draft praised the success of the Mujahideen in Afghanistan.
