‘The Marvelous Wonderettes’ kicks of Priscilla Beach Theatre season

– Priscilla Beach Theatre presents the musical comedy “The Marvelous Wonderettes,” by Roger Bean, May 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m., and May 7 at 2 p.m. on its historic barn stage in Plymouth.

This smash Off-Broadway hit takes you to 1958 Springfield High School prom where we meet Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy, four girls with hopes and big dreams. As we learn about their lives and loves, the girls serenade us with classic ‘50s hits including “Lollipop,” “Dream Lover,” and “Lipstick on Your Collar.” In Act II, the Wonderettes reunite at their 10-year reunion and take to the stage with more classics from the ‘50s and 60s. 

Directing this production is Danny Bolton. Danny is an actor, director, and theater teaching artist, a member of Screen Actors Guild, Actors Equity Association and the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. Danny has appeared in productions in regional theaters all across the country from New England to Off-Broadway. The cast includes Allison Abate of Plymouth, Paige Berkovitz and  Emilie Mirvis of Los Angeles and Jocelin Weiss of Needham.
