A Marshfield man was arrested for drunk driving following a hit and run crash at the intersection of State and Manomet Point Roads, Tuesday, evening.
According to Captain John Rogers, Robert Studley, 40, rear-ended a car stopped at the intersection. When the driver got out to exchange papers, Studley reportedly drove off, continuing south on State Road.
He was stopped by police near Saint Bonaventure Church, Rogers said. The officer reportedly determined that Studley was drunk. He was also allegedly found with two types of unidentified pills, a half finished 40 ounce bottle of beer and an empty whiskey bottle, Rogers said.
Studley was arrested for OUI liquor, OUI drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and disorderly conduct.
Damage to both cars was minor, Rogers said.
