Two people are under arrest, and one is in the hospital, following a fight on Patriot Circle, Monday evening.
According to Captain John Rogers, police responded to a call about two men fighting in the street at Patriot Circle at around 6:30 p.m. Michael McStay, 48, of Patriot Circle had allegedly assaulted a 48-year-old Plymouth woman by picking her up and throwing her to the pavement, Rogers said. A Wareham man, 23, then reportedly intervened. McStay allegedly threatened him with knife and, in self-defense, the Wareham man punched McStay, sending him to the pavement. As a result, McStay suffered a head injury and was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth.
While police were investigating, Nackia Golden, 28, who lives at the same address as McStay, allegedly obstructed the investigation, shoving an officer, Roger said.
McStay was placed under arrest at the hospital. He was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and assault with a dangerous weapon. Golden was charged with disorderly conduct, and assault and battery on a police officer. The Wareham man was not charged.
