Manomet Branch Monthly: Teen Read Week and a Simes House story

We hope your October is starting off spook-tacularly, with hints of pumpkin spice and glorious fall color. With the chill in the air, it’s the perfect time to stop by the Manomet Branch Library for a good book or movie for cozy autumn nights at home.

Pick up a copy of “Ecstatic Nation: Confidence, Crisis, and Compromise, 1848-1877” by Brenda Wineapple and join the History Book Group discussion on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. This is the second book in our series looking at American Imperialism. Copies of the book are available.

Get your copy of “Wicked Moon,” a novel by Taylor Nash that features our very community and a local landmark, the Simes House. Nash will speak at the Manomet Branch on Saturday, October 25 at 2:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served and copies of the book will be available for purchase. No registration is necessary.

Please e-mail the Manomet Branch Librarian at jenniferj@ocln.org or call (508) 830-4185 with any questions about these events. All of our programs are sponsored by the Plymouth Public Library Corporation. The library is fully accessible; please let us know if you need special accommodations to attend.
