LineageOS 18.1 is one of the best alternatives, if you like the world of custom ROMs, to have a clean and updated operating system. The list of compatible devices is long, with popular models like the Xiaomi Poco F1, OnePlus 8 Pro, and casual classics like the Google Nexus 6.

ROM now reaches some of the most representative midrange of the moment. Concretely, you can now install LineageOS 18.1 on the Xiaomi POCO X3 Pro, POCO F3, Samsung Galaxy M20 and Samsung Galaxy A5 2017, in addition to the occasional BQ.

LineageOS assay for a number of models

LineageOS is the second step of the classic CyanogenMOD ROM, more refined and with a new look. However, it is still the most popular and cleanest custom ROM we can install. As we read in XDA Developers, there is a new set of compatible devices, especially the following:

POCO X3 Pro POCO F3 Samsung Galaxy M20 Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 BQ Aquaris X BQ Aquaris X Pro

As you can see, Xiaomi’s two most powerful midrange already support this Android 11 based ROM. Likewise, the popular Samsung Galaxy M20, Samsung’s entry range with 5,000mAh, also has this ROM with one of its siblings from 2017, the Samsung Galaxy A5.

It is also striking that the ROM is available for the BQ Aquaris X and BQ Aquaris. X Pro, two mid-range models that were also released in 2017. As always, to install this ROM it is necessary to have the bootloader unlocked and a custom recovery, such as TWRP.
